NASCAR added to radio lineup

Thunder 104.3 welcomes NASCAR back to its airways in 2010.

"We're pleased to bring back what North Georgia loves - NASCAR racing," said Station Manager Bo Wilson. "We take pride in bringing our listeners a full NASCAR schedule, both Nationwide Series and Sprint Cup Series. As far as we know, we're the only station in Northeast Georgia to do so.

Thunder also has added three NASCAR daily updates, startingwith the Morning Driver Report brought to by All Vacuum Wholesale in Gainesville and hosted by BoDan Morning Show team member Wilson. All Vacuum also is the sponsor of NASCAR Today Mid-day at 12:30 p.m. and NASCAR Today at 5:30 p.m. All three reports update listeners on the days racing news.

On Monday mornings throughout the season, the station will air the Morning Race Refresher, also sponsored by All Vacuum.

"I guess you could say we're crazy about NASCAR," Wilson said. "With Awesome Bill Elliott's roots here in North Georgia, we knew NASCAR racing needed a full-time home."

NASCAR Live with Eli Gold, a one-hour live call-in show, has the 7 p.m. time slot every Tuesday on Thunder.

"Eli Gold is not only a legendary Bama football broadcaster, he's a legendary NASCAR commentator as well," Wilson said. "When the Motor Racing Network offered this show to us this year, I couldn't pass it up."

Thunder is affiliated with the Motor Racing Network and the Performance Racing Network.
